Vanguard collects only the information needed to deliver the education, account, connection, and professional experiences a person chooses to use.
Account and learning information
My Vanguard may store your email, basic profile and preferences, general market, saved resources, and learning progress. Passwordless sign-in is handled through your Google, Apple, or email sign-in method.
Connections and referrals
A connection or referral request may include a minimal contact method, category and market, the context you choose to provide, consent to share that summary, and a selected or assigned specialist. This information supports review, routing, and handoff.
Agent and network information
For professionals who apply to or participate in the Vanguard network, Vanguard stores the application, basic professional profile, service coverage, license-review information, training progress, competency reviews, certifications, referral readiness, and operational request history needed to manage the network.
Ask Vanguard
Your Ask Vanguard conversation remains in the current browser session. Operational usage records store the mode, whether an answer was provided, and source or content-reference metadata, not the question text or your identity. An unsupported topic may add a normalized, generic knowledge-gap topic without personal detail.
Support messages
When you contact Vanguard support, we store your name (if provided), email, topic, and message so the team can review and respond. Support messages are never shown publicly and are not used for marketing.
Data minimization
Do not submit Social Security numbers, banking or credit information, medical information, IDs, military records, loan applications, loan documents, contracts, or other sensitive transaction documents. Vanguard does not provide an attachment intake through its public or member request forms.
Access and external sources
Private member and professional information is limited by signed-in role and need. Public educational resources may link to official or external websites. Those links do not imply a partnership or endorsement, and the external site’s practices apply when you leave Vanguard.
Privacy and data requests
You may request access, export, deletion, correction, or ask a privacy question. Vanguard handles requests manually and may verify your identity using the email you provide before acting.
